The Parrothead Club of Charlotte is a social club that promotes fun, friendship and good spirit all while supporting different charity groups on a local, state and national level. We like to say that we “party with a purpose”. Some of our charity activities include helping our troops, MS walks, Brest Cancer awareness and Project HALO. We are always looking for other causes and encourage our members to bring their personal favorites to the group. Of course, we have also been known to party WITHOUT a purpose as well. You could say that we are all brought together by Jimmy Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he promotes but in the end; we live in a southern latitude with a tropical attitude.

We are part of a much larger organization known as PHiP with a membership in excess of 25,000 spread out across the US and several other countries. Collectively the members of PHiP had donated more than $2.9 million and over 181,000 man hours in 2007. Yearly, many of these meet in Key West for the annual “Meeting of the Minds”.
